A new beginning, or rather, old wine in new bottles.

gkrzywiec@ihpan.edu.pl Author BiographyProfessor at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, researcher of the social history of ideas in the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the history of the Polish intelligentsia, with particular emphasis on anti-Semitism and right-wing ideology. His publications include Polska bez Żydów. Studia z dziejów idei, wyobrażeń i praktyk antysemickich na ziemiach polskich początku XX wieku (1905–1914) [Poland without Jews. Studies in the history of anti-Semitic ideas, perceptions, and practices in Poland in the early 20th century (1905–1914)] (2017). Together with a group of researchers, he is studying the Polish provinces during the Great Depression and its aftermath (NCN project). He is preparing a socio-cultural history of fascism in Poland (1919–1939).

Abstract
The author presents several works published under the auspices of Instytut Dziedzictwa Myśli Narodowej im. Romana Dmowskiego i Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego [The Roman Dmowski and Ignacy Jan Paderewski Institute of National Thought Heritage], an institution established in 2020 to renew interest in nationalist heritage in Polish historiography. The author considers how much of this represents new trends and how much represents a refreshed past.
