Joanna Sliwa, Jewish Childhood in Kraków: A Microhistory of the Holocaust

martyna.gradzka@ipn.gov.pl Author BiographyMartyna Grądzka-Rejak - PhD, historian, Judaic scholar, educator, works in the Historical Research Office of the Institute of National Remembrance, deputy head of the Research Department of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum. She specializes in the history of the Jewish Holocaust, the fate of national and ethnic minorities and social history, with a particular focus on the experiences/perspectives of women and the family. She has received a scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science. Among other things, she wrote the book Jewish Woman in Occupied Cracow (1939-1945) (2017). Co-author of the book Holocaust, Memory, Reproduction. The Holocaust and occupation Polish-Jewish relations in second-circulation publications in the People's Republic of Poland (2020). Co-editor of the min. book The Jewish Family 1939-1945: Selected Issues (2024).
