Abstract
The article presents the life of Jew Zygmunt Messing — a long-standing collaborator of the German secret services. One of the best Łódź ghetto Gestapo agents, he organized his own network of agents who mostly counteracted smuggling but who were also quite successful at carrying out surveillance of the resistance movement.
