Architects of the Holocaust – an Analysis of Operations of KL Auschwitz-Birkenau Central Construction Board

ukończyła studia na kierunku Wiedzy o Kulturze Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, ze specjalizacją animacja kultury, a także studia w Szkole Głównej Handlowej. W roku 2003 pod kierunkiem dr hab. Barbary Engelking-Boni napisała pracę magisterską zatytułowaną „Proszę Państwa do gazu – architekci a realizacja planu Ostatecznego Rozwiązania Kwestii Żydowskiej w Europie”. Obecnie przygotowuje pracę doktorską w Szkole Nauk Społecznych PAN dot. roli architektów w KL Auschwitz-Birkenau. Pracowała w Departamencie Promocji MSZ przy projekcie „Rok Polsko-Niemiecki 2005/2006”, obecnie jest prezesem Fundacji Laboratorium Reportażu, która m. in. realizuje projekt „Europa w/g Auschwitz”.

Abstract

Extermination centres had their own foremen and architects of death. At KL Auschwitz-Birkenau, the killing and the disposal of bodies was to proceed uninterruptedly, efficiently and leave no trace. In order to achieve this, the SS hired civilian experts.
