Abstract
Czytelnikowi poszukującemu wiarygodnego i uznanego opracowania dotyczącego losów Żydów warszawskich w czasach drugiej wojny światowej bibliotekarz czy historyk niechybnie podsunie klasyczną już pozycję autorstwa Israela Gutmana Żydzi warszawscy 1939-1943. Granice czasowe książki sugerują wyraźnie, że historia Żydów w Warszawie kończy się wraz z likwidacją warszawskiego getta. O losach Żydów, którzy powstanie w getcie przeżyli i aż do upadku powstania warszawskiego przebywali po tak zwanej aryjskiej stronie, nic już tam nie znajdzie. Co więcej, o Żydach, którzy także wcześniej ukrywali się po „aryjskiej” stronie – przeczyta w tym obszernym studium zaledwie kilka stron.
