lukasz.krzyzanowski@iϐispan.waw.pl Author BiographyHistorian and sociologist, assistant professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Postdoctoral research fellow at Freie Universität in Berlin (2016-2018), assistant professor at the Historical Institute of the University of Warsaw (2018), visiting fellow at the University of Oxford (2012, 2013, 2014-2015) and Yad Vashem (2015). Fellow of the Claims Conference (Kegan Fellowship in Advanced Holocaust Studies) and the National Center of Science. The author of the monograph Dom, którego nie było. Powroty ocalałych do powojennego miasta (2016; the English version of Ghost Citizens. Jewish Return to a Postwar City will be published in 2020). He currently studies everyday life and power relations in small towns and villages in central Poland under German occupation.
