Maciej Janowski - professor, head of the Department of the History of Ideas and the History of Intelligentsia in the 19th and 20th centuries at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His research interests include the history of Poland and Central Europe in the 19th century. The most significant publications are: Inteligencja wobec wyzwań nowoczesności.
