His research interests include the history of Germany and Polish-German relations in the 20th century, as well as the film community in the People's Republic of Poland. Author of several books, including Filmowcy w matni bezpieki/Filmmakers in the snare of the secret police (2011), Polski nie oddamy. Władze NRD wobec wydarzeń w PRL 1980–1981 /Poland will not be surrendered. The authorities of the GDR towards the events in the People's Republic of Poland 1980–1981 (2017) and Jan Sehn. Tropiciel nazistów/Jan Sehn. Nazi Tracker (2020). For the latter, he was awarded the International Witold Pilecki.
