We are pleased to announce that the academic journal Holocaust Studies and Materials has been officially indexed in the prestigious Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This inclusion serves as a testament to the high scholarly standards and contributions of our journal, while also signalling the need for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to reassess the current scoring framework.

Despite validation by esteemed international academic databases such as ERIH Plus and DOAJ, the Ministry's decision to maintain a scoring level of 20 points in the Journal List remains inconsistent with the recognition our journal has received. This issue is particularly significant given the influence of journal rankings on the publication choices of established researchers, whose contributions merit appropriate consideration within the evaluation system.

The editorial board extends its sincere appreciation to the authors who, despite potential implications for their own evaluation scores, continue to contribute to our journal, demonstrating their commitment to academic integrity and intellectual discourse.
