alexander.walther@uni-jena.de Author BiographyPhD student at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, where he studied history and English. He is preparing a doctoral dissertation on the multifaceted forms of commemorating and presenting the Holocaust in the GDR. He also works at the University of Erfurt as a project coordinator in a research group dealing with the end-of-life of the GDR and its heritage in reunified Germany.
